Mauser Gewehr 98 Barrel

You are considering a vintage Mauser Gewehr 98 Barrel — It’s chambered for 7.92x57mm Mauser ammunition. It’s in good shape with light wear from usage, storage, and handling. The barrels metalwork is in good condition and has not been refinished — however, it does have some deep rust pitting on the underside where water was caught between the barrel and wood — note though, that this rust was arrested properly and is no longer an issue. There are a number of old German Imperial markings of interest towards the receiver end. It measures 29-inches in length including its threads and comes with its original front and rear sight assemblies. The bore is bright and shiny with no fouling or pitting and strong rifling.
